WHOOP-UP DAYS PARADE
August 22 | 9 AM
Starting Location: Park Place Mall
Kick off the week at the annual Whoop-Up Days Parade and feel the community spirit!
The Whoop-Up Days Parade is the iconic start to Lethbridge’s most popular and longest-running community fair. Showcasing the people, businesses, and organizations who call Lethbridge home, the parade is a celebration of the region’s heritage and future.
This Year’s Theme: Celebrating Canada’s Agriculture Destination
Since 1897, the Whoop-Up Days Parade has brought our region together to celebrate the start of Whoop-Up Days. Showcasing the people, businesses, and organizations who call our community home, the parade is an iconic celebration of our diverse cultures, unique heritage, and innovative future.
For 2023, floats and participants are encouraged to decorate, dress, and dream all things agriculture and join us in celebrating Lethbridge as Canada’s Agriculture Destination.

Parade Marshal
One of Canada’s most successful singer-songwriters will be in a different type of spotlight on Aug. 22, as Corb Lund has been named 2023 Whoop-Up Days Parade Marshal. Through his award-winning music, Lund has promoted an authentic view of western culture, born from his time spent on ranches throughout southern Alberta during his life.

Marching Bands
Lethbridge & District Exhibition is excited to invite your traditional Marching Band to join us for the 2023 Whoop-Up Days Parade. Marching Bands are an entertainment highlight of all parades, and we sincerely hope you can attend.

Cheer On Your Favourite Floats & Celebrate Canada’s Agriculture Destination
Beginning at Park Place Mall, the traditional parade route travels south along 3rd St S, east on 3rd Ave S, north on 13th St N, then east on 9th Ave N, dispersing at the Galbraith Elementary School.
