Whoop-Up Days 2019 kicks off on Tuesday, August 20th at 10:00 a.m. with the annual Parade. In support of the Boulet family, this year’s honorary parade marshals, parade participants and spectators are encouraged to wear green. Spectators wearing green along the parade route will have the chance to win general admission tickets to Whoop-Up Days.

Family Day returns on Wednesday, August 21 and features special discounted pricing. General admission tickets are $5.00 before 5:00 p.m. and a $25.00 ride wristband will be available for purchase on site at the West Coast Amusement ticket booth until 1:00 p.m.

The first thing guests are sure to notice upon arriving at the 2019 Whoop-Up Days is the new layout. On-site parking is now located outside of the fairgrounds security perimeter. As such the purchase of parking and admission tickets will be separate transactions.

Two main entry gates located at the north and south entrances of Exhibition Park will serve as the security and entry points to the Whoop-Up Days Fairgrounds.

Entry gates can be directly accessed by those with advanced tickets which are available at

For those planning to purchase tickets on-site, admission booths will be located east of each entry gate and will open 15 minutes prior to gates. We ask that guests please plan accordingly and allow for potential wait times when purchasing on-site tickets.

As the legalization of cannabis is new all of us, we have been closely monitoring other Canadian fairs and summer music festivals both for their regulations on cannabis and how such regulations were abided by and enforced during the events. After consulting with these industry partners, the Alberta Gaming Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC) and the Lethbridge Police Service we have developed the policy below which aims to ensure the safety, security, comfort and enjoyment of all of our guests.

The use, sale, growth and preparation of cannabis (indoors or outdoors) on Exhibition Park owned, operated or leased property is prohibited except as explicitly authorised by this policy.

The possession of cannabis products or paraphernalia is permitted on Exhibition Park owned, operated or leased property in accordance with Lethbridge municipal and Alberta provincial by-laws and legislation.

Cannabis consumption is only permitted:

  1. At the Whoop-Up Days StagEX Designated Cannabis Use Areas which opens nightly at 6:30 p.m. (See Attachment #2: StagEX Map)

  2. At such other temporary locations as may be approved by way of written special permission of Exhibition Park (Chief Executive Officer) and there is no appeal of that decision.

At no time, is the consumption of cannabis permitted on the Whoop-Up Days midway or any other location on the grounds, with the exception of the above mentioned exceptions. Exhibition Park reserves the right to eject anyone who is in violation of this policy.

All event related information, including advance tickets, Terms of Entry, grounds maps, entertainment lineup and more can be found at
