Gas King fuels free admission for Whoop-Up Days
Midway wristbands now available at Gas King
Lethbridge, Alta. – Gas King is once again driving efforts to support Southern Alberta, stepping up as the official admission partner for Whoop-Up Days. The five-year partnership guarantees free gate admission will be an ongoing feature of Whoop-Up Days.
Whoop-Up Days runs from Aug. 22 to 26, and Gas King’s commitment means it’s easier than ever for attendees to experience all that Whoop-Up Days has to offer, including the Whoop-Up Days Parade; West Coast Amusements Midway; the Siksikaitsitapi Pow Wow and Princess Pageant; live music; Global Pet Foods’ SuperDogs; the Whoop-Up Days marketplace; food trucks; entertainment; beer gardens and much more.
“Choosing to make Whoop-Up Days a free admission event was a big decision for Lethbridge & District Exhibition, but it’s the support of Gas King that truly makes it possible,” says Mike Warkentin, Lethbridge & District Exhibition CEO. “Whoop-Up Days is a community event, which means community partners play a significant role in making it a reality. Gas King’s willingness to step up means Whoop-Up Days is now more accessible than ever for Southern Albertans.”
Gas King was founded by Don and Brent Morris in 1985, when the father and son combo opened their first Lethbridge location on Mayor Magrath Dr N. Now with seven locations across Southern Alberta, Gas King is a well-known community partner, supporting dozens of organizations throughout the years, including a long-time affiliation with Whoop-Up Days.
“Gas King has been a proud partner of Lethbridge & District Exhibition since 2001 and we’re excited to continue our longstanding partnership with them for another five years,” says Brent Morris, Gas King President. “Our locations have had great success with selling West Coast Amusements wristbands in the past and we are thrilled to be able to offer that to our customers again this year. Plus, ‘Free Admission For the Community Fuelled by Gas King’ has a nice ring to it!”
Free admission for the community, fuelled by Gas King is just a part of the partnership, as Gas King will also be selling West Coast Amusements midway wristbands at all four Lethbridge Gas King locations, as well as the Picture Butte location. Midway wristbands are on sale now at Gas King, for the advance ticket price of $45, which is a $5 savings from buying them on-site between Aug. 22 and 26.
