About the event
The Lethbridge School Division will be hosting the 2024 Alberta E-Sports Championships at the Agri-food Hub & Trade Centre on May 3 to 4, 2024!
The tournament is open to all students between the ages of 12-18. The event includes two distinct categories. The first is known as the open category, welcoming students of appropriate ages who are not part of an organized or sanctioned esports team. Entries in this category must be accompanied by a guardian or coach who is at least 21 years old. While the second is reserved for school-sanctioned teams, catering to educational institutions with competitive esports teams.
Featured games include:
- Super Smash Brothers (1 vs. 1) - Open to all age groups
- Rocket League (3 vs. 3) - Open to all age groups
- Omega Strikers (3 vs. 3) - Open to all age groups
- League of Legends (5 vs. 5) - Restricted to high school age participants
- Valorant (5 vs. 5) - Restricted to high school age participants
The event is open to the public and everyone is invited to attend. Throughout the tournament, a variety of enjoyable, family-friendly, free-play events will be accessible to all attendees.
